The programme also offers opportunities for learning a foreign language as well as higher management skills, for example negotiation and data analysis. Who are these programmes for? Each of these 6 month programmes, which are validated and awarded by the Manchester Metropolitan University, are equivalent to the final undergraduate year of university study and allow a measure single or combined specialization in either hotel or tourism management and events management. The courses are designed for those who have prior qualifications to Higher Diploma level and who intend to make their management careers in the industry and wish to be best placed to achieve rapid promotion.

Programme objective and content The objective of these programmes is to equip students for graduate positions and the future demands of senior management in the tourism, hospitality and corporate event industries. Students receive individual attention and the curriculum focuses on the strategic business development of hospitality and tourism and events organizations. Core subjects include international strategy and marketing, international food and beverage themes and applications, international tourism development, strategies for evaluating management decisions, MICE management, and career planning and development.
